Lesser Ritual Of The Inverted Pentagram

Hello and welcome to the first post on this blog where I will be presenting rituals in the Sinister tradition. While some of these  rituals will be takes on classic and traditional rituals, others will be completely new ones that I have made and would like to share. What I would like to share today is actually a mix of both. This is an updated and Sinisterized version of an old ritual performed by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn called "The Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram". The original ritual had two purposes: the first was to banish any energies or forces left over in the ritual Chamber from the last ritual. The second purpose in the form of the "Greater Pentagram Ritual" was to invoke elemental energies based on the quarters. What the Sinister version of this ritual aims to do is align yourself with the four different and elemental aspects of the adversary. I will explain this later on but what this which will be doing is summon the adversary within and/or without by using the worlds natural elements and associations with the quarters. The Adversary or The Satan is an all-encompassing being, there for it is manifested through all the different elements including Spirit. Lets get started

1. Ring the bell as many times as needed to get into a meditative state

2. Place hand on head, body and genitals respectively while vibrating '"Hail my mind", Hail my soul and "Hail my body"respectful in that order. Do this as many times as desired.

3. With chalice and dagger/sword in hand trace in inverted pentagram in each Direction while using imagination and passion to invoke/evoke the four crown princes of hell after each pentagram (Satan/Fire, Lucifer/Air, Belial/Earth and Leviathan/Water). Drink from chalice after each invocation. This step should be slightly long and passionate so take your time

4. Put your arms across your chest where your hands are touching the shoulders and invoke/evoke Asmoday under Satan, Astaroth under Lucifer, Ariton under Belial and Maggot under Leviathan

5. Vibrate "about me Flames the adversarial pentagrams! I am of the infernal forces"

6. Repeat steps one and two but perform them in reverse to end the light

Notes:Any names of the Adversary may be used as long as they correspond to an element in some way. Of course, in the Sinister tradition, it is up to you to research daemonic beings and come to a conclusion of what daemon represents what quarter. I would suggest doing research on the names given here as this will help with mental association and thus create better invocations.     

The All......

The LHP is a very complex thing...it is certainly not an easy path and can be very daunting for the new comer. One thing I often think about in the context of Sinistersim is the ocean of occult opinions and ideas that are shared, morphed, changed and reinterpreted. What I mean by this, is that one persons idea (which may not even be that original to begin with) can be reinterpreted to fit someone else's practice and in doing so completely change and morph the idea in ones own light. For example, as a Sinisterist, I find much value in the teachings of Aleister Crowley and his system of Thelema. I feel that the concept of "do what thy wilt" is perhaps the most basic and primal concept in all of the left hand path. The "problem" however, is that Crowley did not see him self as being in any way left hand path or diabolic. Of course, in my definition he certainly was (remember, he connected his inner most higher self "Aiwass" with Satan, The Beast, The Devil, many times over), but that is not the point of contention. The point I am making is that my own interpretation and usage of the law of Thelema is more important (in the Sinister context) than anything else. How I see and use that idea is my truth in my path. Nothing else is relevant. Everything is there in the great occult pool to be taken and made use of. Another example is rituals. There have been many rituals that, while I enjoyed the structure and all around concept, maybe the names invoked were not pleasing to me or perhaps the purpose of the ritual did not resonate with me. I can then change said ritual and morph it into something I can use . For example, I have written my own lesser invoking ritual of the inverted pentagram. The original, which was practiced by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn as a banishing ritual makes use of holy names associated with the Hebrew god. Of course, being a Sinisterist, I have no interest in using those names and so, I changed the intent of the ritual in order to make the banishing an invocation and I changed the holy names to strong daemonic names. The Sinisterist understands that there are no chains binding him/her. If a Sinisterist likes one aspect of something but dislikes another, than he/she knows that it is time to invoke the Sinister current and morph said thing into that which pleases him/her. You are a Sinisterist and you are the gate and the key. You are the all..... You are the portal in which all things come and go and you and only you have the power to make things work for you. Take and discard as you please for this is your realm!        

The Sinister Sigil

Hello, I would now like to present a Sigil of Sinisterism that was created by Anton Wolf of the Sect of the Horned God, a LHP/Rational Occult initiatory school that I personally respect a lot. This sigil was shared with me by the founder of the organization Thomas LeRoy. Make sure you understand who created it before making use of it. Sinisterism holds interpretation as one of the highest aspects of its philosophy and this, of course, also applies to symbols. Use and make yours any symbol you desire, but know of the origin first. Lets explore the symbolism at play here....... First, the colors of black and red always bring about an air of dark and infernal power, the essence of the Sinister way. Inside the left hand (representing of course the LHP in its most primal and basic form) we see the inverted pentagram, of course, one of the most if not the most basic and classic symbol of inverted way, satanic essence and rebellion with purpose as the inverted pentagram represents the goat of the sabbat, the adversary, Satan, the embodiment of the LHP. Surrounding this is three greek characters that say PAN which is not only one of, if not the most important original horned beings that represented a balanced and natural way, but also one of the main components of the composite being Satan. It also is the greek word for ALL representing the all en-composing nature of Sinistersim and the true LHP way. Nothing is off limits and the realm of all magic and occultism is there for you to explore and come back with pieces that when brought together, serve you. This is the Sinister way. Sinisterism Monograph

Contained here is the main aspects of Sinisterism. As this monograph will demonstrate, Sinistersim is a mode of practice more so than a dogmatic or strict philosophy or system.

• Freedom- Sinisterism encourages practitioners to explore any and all doors and pathways on the left hand, and in doing so, synthesize many influences into a self styled system that is uniquely yours and gets worked into as you progress.

•  Interpretation- Sinistersism is informed by the fact that interpretation is an inherent part of not only the LHP, but also human nature in general. People will (and in the Sinisterists view, should) put a little bit of themselves into their believe, weather intentional or not.

• Irrelevance Of Theism- To be a Sinisterist does not mean necessarily being Atheist or of a more Theist mind, for Sinisterism is not meant to dictate a believe or dogma to its practitioners. Quite the contrary, we realize that the LHP is a very personal journey. Some start as Atheists and turn more Theistic through experiences during ritual practice. Others go through the opposite process. The art of Sinistra Arcana does not require having any one believe for practice.

• Focus On Adversarial Forces (Current)- Although Sinisterism advocates the use of any force or "being" one wishes to call upon, it is also understood that throughout the history of human religion and spiritualism, the one who guarded the gate of knowledge (almost always dark and forbidden yet always holding the truth) , the one who had the keys to true human nature, the keys to true magic and self validated power was The Adversary. By whatever name you call it,this is the force that has been challenging mankind for centuries and has always been the true god of the world and humans.  This is Sinistersim and the latin word "Sinistra" meant left and was symbolic of the opposite or dark forces. Understand that Satan was  and is all en- composing word for the great adversary. Hail The Satan for it is the embodiment of the LHP.

• Self Styled Ritual Practice-Although certain rituals will be given to Sinisterists to perform, this is simply to share ideas, concepts and ceremony that may be useful for practitioners. These rites can also be used as practice rites for new comers or just a piece to add to your daily practice. NO effort shall be made to dictate technique or formula of rituals. Look to whatever source draws you and always use your instincts when crafting rituals.                          

Welcome To The Path Of Sinisterism!

Hello, my name is Vincent Gaetano and I would like to attempt to define a path in the left hand that has been mentioned very loosely for a while, however, I would like to try and further the definition of the term in question: Sinisertism. This term has been referenced (again, loosely) to describe a path that many on the left hand are walking without attaching a name to it. The path of Sinisterism, as I would define it, is: The complete freedom to traverse any and all paths of the left hand in order to create your completely individualistic and self styled path. Although there are obvious connections to what I like to call the "three headed daemon of the left hand", namely Satanism, Luciferiansm and Thelema, this is only in so far as the focus of darkness and adversarial forces in Sinisterism. The Sinisterist is free to take from any source he/she wishes, however the Sinister path is just that. Sinister. The meaning of "Sinistra" at one point in time actually meant left. This is powerful symbolism, as I feel, that the path of Sinistersim shall perhaps, in its design, bring back a much more general and free form of the LHP. If this path sounds like the one you have been walking than welcome and Hail Sinistra Arcana! You are a Sinisterist and always have been! Wield that title!
